Carl Witten's life story is one of faith, family, and remarkable service. After earning his AA from Southeastern Christian College, Carl went on to a 51-year career in IT, holding positions at storied institutions including the Christian Broadcasting Network, the New York Times, and Sentara Healthcare before retiring in 2019.
Now semi-retired in Elizabeth City, NC, he continues to stay active working part-time at a local funeral home. Carl and his wife Media, whom he met at SCC, have built a beautiful family together - 5 children, 16 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Ordained as an evangelist in 2020, Carl has ministered through preaching and singing across more than a dozen states.
He is currently running for County Commissioner in Pasquotank County, NC.
