Programs and Services

  • College preparatory curriculum and extra-curricular programs are offered along with daily Bible classes that complete the students development.
  • Athletic sports teams starting in the 3rd grade. A member of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.
  • Fine arts programs in all grades, plays and music performances, drama productions and performing choir.
  • Opportunities to serve in short term mission fields at home and abroad are offered. 

Distinctions

  • Became a Secondary School Charter Member of the National Honor Society in 2004.
  • Received accreditation in 1931 and continues to meet the curriculum requirements of the state of Kentucky for grades kindergarten through twelve. 
  • A member of the Association of Christian School International. 
  • Several junior class members have been selected as Governor Scholars.
  • Over ninety five percent of our high school seniors enter higher education after graduation. 
  • PCS is one of the few Christian schools to serve the inner city while also expanding to serve the eastern Jefferson County community.
  • The class of 2008 averaged 21.1 on the ACT with one hundred per cent of the class taking this test. This is above the State of Kentucky's average of 19.4. 
  • PCS, in continuous operation since 1924, is the oldest Christian day school in Kentucky.
