Elementary Missions

November is Missions month at Portland Christian School. Our elementary program desires to place an emphasis on mission giving this month by supporting a local mission led by a member of the PCS family.  This is a great way for our students to be a "cheerful giver" and put their faith in action! Free2Hope is an organization that shows love to women in crisis. They are planning to open their doors to their drop-in center on December 27th.  In order to do so, they need support from the Portland Christian School family.  We encourage elementary students to assist with meeting the needs as indicated below.  Each grade level is assigned to collect a specific item plus 2 plastic storage bins. Cash donations (checks made payable to Free to Hope) will also be accepted as a part of the supply drive.

Kindergarten: Colored pencils, 2 plastic storage bins

First Grade: Toilet paper, 2 plastic storage bins

Second Grade: Paper plates; 2 plastic storage bins

Third Grade: Paper towels, 2 plastic storage bins

Fourth Grade: Single serve chips, granola bars, crackers, etc. , 2 plastic storage bins

Fifth Grade: Single serve oatmeal, 2 plastic storage bins

Sixth Grade: Clorox Wipes, 2 plastic storage bins

Donations will be accepted Tuesday November 7 through Friday November 17.

In addition to collecting specific items, the cash collected will allow us to purchase one or more of the following items for Free2Hope.

*Vacuum Cleaner (new)  * Broom and Dust Pan (new)   *See-thru Storage Bins (new)  *Fold Up Chairs (new/gently used)   *Charging Station (new/gently used)

If your family is able to provide any of the items, please contact Dr. Camille Gray (camille.gray@portlandchristian.org)

The fruits of generosity are God's promise as His love demonstrated through supporting this mission.  Please join us in prayer for Free2Hope during this exciting and challenging time!
